STATIC Adrift Dyneema Mitten | Made with recycled Octa®CPCP® material

The STATIC Adrift Dyneema Mitten is a next-generation outdoor mitten made with Octa®CPCP® recycled material , which is lightweight and has excellent heat retention. Compared to conventional virgin polyester fabrics, this sustainable gear significantly reduces the environmental impact.

Material Composition

• Polyester wooly fiber : 53.6% replaced with recycled polyester (ECOPET®)

• Polyester hollow octopus-shaped fiber : 46.4% (normal polyester)

This recycling reduces CO2 emissions during fabric manufacturing by 23% (calculated by Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., from raw materials to fabric shipping).

What is Octa®CPCP®?

**Octa®CPCP®** is a high-performance fleece material that combines a mesh surface with irregular cross-section hollow polyester brushed fibers that have excellent heat retention properties.

• Lightweight yet warm

• Excellent breathability for good heat release

• Traditionally, it has been used as a lining, but in STATIC it is used as a standalone fleece.

Material characteristics

• Lightweight : Approximately half the weight of polyester fiber of the same diameter

• Sweat-wicking and quick-drying : High moisture diffusion performance for a comfortable fit

• Heat insulation : The hollow structure and eight protrusions trap dead air for excellent heat retention.

Sustainability

• Beginning in Fall/Winter 2023 , we will be the industry leader in shifting to 53% recycled materials

• 23% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to virgin polyester

• Uses biomass dyes (plant-derived) and is produced without relying on petroleum.

• Fiber scraps generated during manufacturing are also recycled

• Recycled yarn is also used for name tags
