The sponge and chamois leather are bonded together, so the sponge absorbs moisture from the lens, and to finish, you can simply wipe it off with the side of the chamois leather, ensuring good visibility at all times. When using it on the inside of goggle lenses, let the sponge absorb the water droplets and leave it to dry without wiping it on the leather surface. This can cause scratches and peeling of the non-fog coating.
