Fold your bills into thirds and store them in one compartment along with your coins, while credit cards, transportation cards, insurance cards, and other cards are stored in the other. While the wallet is made with highly water-resistant fabric, it is not completely waterproof, so if you're going snoring in a stream or on a rainy day, be sure to protect it in a ziplock bag or similar. However, in my experience, the inside of the wallet has never gotten wet, even without waterproofing.
