While maintaining the basic performance, the shape and length of the brim have been changed to make it easier to wear on a daily basis and suitable for use in the hot summer sun.
The brim is 7mm longer than that of a cycle cap, and combined with the UV-blocking fabric (Suplex??) on the underside of the brim, it provides even greater sun protection.
The shape of the brim is similar to that of a regular baseball cap, but it has a velo spica original "flip up and down" feature that allows you to easily adjust the visor with your fingertips according to the intensity of the sun and the field of view.

By combining X-PAC fabric with highly breathable mesh, we've created a cap that's comfortable to wear in rainy or hot weather. The front panel and upper brim are boldly made with X-PAC™ from American sailcloth manufacturer Dimension Polyant. This keeps your face dry when paired with rain gear, ensuring clear vision while riding or hiking. The edge and underside of the brim are made of Supplex™ fabric, which prevents rainwater from dripping over the edge of the brim and, when sweating heavily, transfers sweat from the inner sweatband to the underside of the brim, allowing it to evaporate.
The Long Brim version has a belt buckle type adjuster on the back. By adjusting the adjuster properly, you can easily flip it up and down with your fingertips.
