The Tensor Extreme Conditions (EC) marks a new chapter in NEMO's backcountry pad innovation.
The newly developed Apex baffle design delivers an incredible insulation-to-weight ratio with an R-value of 8.5, surprising given its pack size. This makes it the warmest, most insulated UL pad on the market, yet also the quietest sleeping pad in its class.
The uniquely shaped Apex baffle design allows for four layers of thermal mirror (insulating film) to be suspended evenly inside the pad, with no overlapping. Carefully calculated film placement and number for maximum insulation delivers incredible warmth, making this pad the perfect winter adventure gear, weighing less than 500g.
More importantly, the thermal mirrors are not fused to the padding, minimizing rustling noise.Combining warmth, quietness and 9cm of consistent cushioning, the Tensor EC is the epitome of comfort.
The bottom is made of 40D nylon for improved puncture resistance and strength, while the top is made of 20D nylon (bluesign certified), which is stronger than previous models, making it not only lightweight but also soft and comfortable against the skin for a comfortable sleep.
The valve material and design have also been updated to improve performance and ease of use in low temperatures.
By combining it with the included Vortex Pump Sack, you can inflate the pad quickly and easily without introducing excess moisture into the pad through exhalation.
