HIKER TRASH ZERO DAY HIKE TREK CREW HT30002 Colors: CHA / YEL / GRY

This hiking and trekking model is based on the HIKER TRASH. Durability is enhanced by knitting shrink-resistant merino wool yarn and nylon yarn together. The sole is pile-knit for excellent cushioning. The fabric is knitted looser than usual, and special stretch yarn is used to achieve a comfortable fit. The long length also works well with boot-type shoes. The heel is knitted larger for a more three-dimensional look, and the arch support prevents slippage.

HIKER TRASH socks have holes at the top for attaching a carabiner. This was inspired by the way long-distance hikers would make holes in their wet socks with a knife and hang them on their tents or backpacks to dry. Dry socks always make hikers happy!

Made with machine-washable merino wool, merino wool has excellent heat retention and moisture absorption/release properties, protecting the body from cold sweat and the elements. Its natural antibacterial properties also help prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria, making it a comfortable material that doesn't easily become smelly.

The socks are made with merino wool and knitted together with nylon and polyester, making them extremely durable.

In the abrasion test to measure the durability of the socks, the socks recorded approximately 3,300 times on the toe and heel, and approximately 2,800 times on the sole. The thickness of the pile knit fabric and its flexible elasticity improve durability.
*Generally, the pass mark for casual socks is about 500 to 1,000 times, and for sports socks it is 2,500 to 3,000 times.

In 2017, SKETCH (RYOSUKE KAWATO) field-tested a prototype of the HIKER TRASH while hiking the 5,000km Continental Divide Trail, the most difficult of the three major trails in the United States. Any damage that occurred along the way was reported back to the team in Japan, and improvements were made and the product was sent back to the United States. The HIKER TRASH series was born from this repeated process, realizing the true toughness that hikers require.
