Trucker “SPECTRA?? Ver.”
Trucker hats are a classic American style, and are said to have originated as hats worn by blue collar workers such as farmhands and long-distance truck drivers.
This authentic trucker hat has been reconstructed with a modern interpretation through the velo spica filter.
Using materials that can withstand harsh use, like the rugged denim and leather once used for workwear, we aimed to create gear that would age with its owner over the years – an approach that is the polar opposite of fast fashion.

The first thing that catches your eye is the front panel, which features a striking white grid (ripstop).
SPECTRA?? X-GRIDSTOP NYLON fabric is used on the front and top of the brim.
This fabric is lightweight, water-resistant, and durable. It is also a trendy fabric that has been adopted by many outdoor garage manufacturers recently.
The distinctive white grid (ripstop) is made from Honeywell's SPECTRA® fiber, which is one of the world's strongest organic fibers, and is woven into a grid pattern for reinforcement.
In the context of UL, SPECTRA?? X-GRIDSTOP NYLON fabric is often discussed as a continuation of Dyneema nylon, but in that sense, it could also be said to be a new fabric that follows the classic style of UL from the 2000s.
It is precisely because of this fabric that we placed it on the front, which can be said to be the face of the hat. This is an attempt to combine two classic elements that were originally in separate fields (workwear and UL), give them new value, and release them to the world.
You can't expect much breathability from this fabric, but even with that sacrifice, it's still an attractive material. The tracker style, with all panels except the front made of mesh, is a perfect combination to make up for its weaknesses. It provides excellent forward visibility even in rainy weather, so by combining it with a rainwear hood, it can be used for rainy rides, mountain hikes, and stream climbing.
Other details include a patch on the front and a snapback adjuster on the back panel, making this a straightforward trucker jacket without adding anything else.
The brim now features a specially processed flexible visor that is soft and foldable, yet retains its shape. It also features a flip-up function (you can flip the brim up to widen your field of vision), a feature unique to velo spica visors.
The core material inside the brim is 2mm thick, which is a new standard flexible visor that is thick enough to be rolled up without breaking, yet firm enough to be shaped with your fingers. What's more, the inside has been specially treated to make it easier to maintain its curve.
With just a patch on the front and a snapback adjuster on the back panel, we've created a straightforward tracker jacket without adding anything else.

What is SPECTRA?? X-GRIDSTOP?
The nylon base is treated with a PU coating and DWR (water-repellent) for enhanced waterproofing, and the white ripstop lattice for reinforcement is made with Honeywell's Spectra fiber, an ultra-high-strength polyethylene material. Spectra fiber is 15 times stronger than steel, light enough to float on water, thicker than the aforementioned Dyneema, and is currently one of the world's strongest ultra-high-strength polyethylene materials, boasting both strength and viscoelasticity.

* The flip-up function will be easier to raise and lower if you tighten the adjuster on the back a little.
*You can also roll up the brim and fold it into a smaller size. Due to the nature of the material, Spectra and mesh fabrics will soften with repeated folding. If you prefer the fabric to remain stiff, use it without folding. Washing it in water and using a steam iron will restore its shape to some extent.
*Water-repellent nylon material may become stained or discolored if left in a state where it has absorbed sweat. We recommend washing the product after each use that causes sweating.
*We recommend hand washing with a mild detergent. When drying, lightly stretch the fabric, adjust the shape of the hat, and then lay it flat or hang it to dry in the shade.
