[Environmental]
The key word for the materials used is "recycled." In particular, the main fabric is made from Schoeller's "dryskin," which is made from 100% ECONYL nylon yarn recycled from marine waste.
ECONYL is made up of 30% recycled fishing nets and another 70% recycled yarn from other waste collected from oceans and beaches.
The problem of fishing net waste in the ocean is that much of it is dumped in the sea, which has a major impact on marine life. Collecting and recycling it has the benefit of helping with environmental issues and protecting animals, so we decided to actively use it and adopted it.

Of course, the fact that Shoeller, a company highly regarded for its highly durable fabrics for outdoor clothing, was able to combine environmental friendliness and functionality by using ECONYL yarn in the fabric was a major starting point for the development of this item.

The biggest challenge in planning the pants was selecting the parts other than the fabric.
Some items were not available in Japan, which made things extremely difficult, but in the end, I made the following choices.

Waist belt: Belt tape made from 100% ECONYL yarn, just like the fabric. Made in Germany.
- Belt end reinforcement: Made of silicone.
Waist buckle: Made of regular plastic. Made in Taiwan. We tried several samples of recycled materials, but found quality issues and were unable to adopt them. We have shared this issue with the buckle manufacturer as a future challenge, and would like to adopt them if the quality meets our standards.
Waist snaps: Made of regular plastic. Made in Japan.
Certified to the Oeko-Tex 100 standard (a mark of the world's highest standard of safe textile products, given only to products that pass rigorous analytical tests that cover over 350 harmful chemicals).
Front zipper and hand pocket zippers: YKK Natulon (recycled)
- Hip zipper: YKK coil zipper

Water-repellent finish: The fabric is treated with "ecorepel" water-repellent finish. No fluorine compounds are used.
Each fiber is individually wrapped in an ultra-thin paraffin film, maintaining high water repellency. This treatment is 80-100% biodegradable according to OECD 302 B. Materials that meet this standard are generally considered biodegradable.

[Functionality]
- Made with highly durable stretch fabric.
- 5 pockets in total: 2 hand pockets, 1 right thigh pocket, and 2 hip pockets. All zippered for active use.
- The inside of the hand pockets are made of mesh fabric, which can also be used for ventilation.
The hip pocket is a vertical pocket with a concealed zipper, and can hold a map, smartphone, etc.
- The pattern on the back of the knee is detailed and three-dimensional. This reduces the bulk of the fabric behind the knee, creating a non-baggy, active silhouette.
