The lightest backpack in its class. The Lightning is an extremely lightweight roll-top backpack that can be used for a wide range of activities, from day hikes to tent camping, mountain climbing, long trails, and backpacking.
Although it is lightweight, it is equipped with thick cushioning to prevent strain on the shoulders and back even when carried for long periods of time.
The Lightning Series features a suspension system that allows the backpack to be adjusted to fit your body type. A sturdy single aluminum stay distributes the load and is anchored to the lumbar pad to transfer the load to your lower back. The padded shoulder harness slides along the stay and adjusts to fit your body, minimizing contact points and allowing you to precisely adjust the backpack length.
The small contact area of the back pad allows sweat from the back to dry efficiently.
The weatherproof roll-top closure on the main opening allows you to adjust the volume to accommodate additional gear as needed, while hooked straps and zigzag side compression straps allow you to secure climbing ropes or other items on top of the closed top.
The stretch mesh pockets on both sides can hold water bottles and trekking poles, and the zippered stretch pocket on the hip belt can hold small items such as snacks and cell phones.
The top pocket with a water-resistant zipper is convenient for storing valuables.
