Thought and Creation

The masterpiece Agra Skirt was born from Ryo's aesthetic. While the existing padding was already warm enough, a down version was planned to provide even greater warmth. When I saw the already striking barrel shape of the prototype, further accentuated by the puffiness of the down, I was a little put off, but once you get used to it, it's cute. I hope it becomes as beloved as a mascot character that appears at vacation homes.

Comfort

The fluffiness of the down makes it feel lighter than it looks. After wearing the Agra Skirt for a while, your body heat will warm the air inside the skirt. Thanks to the unique barrel shape, this warm air is trapped inside the skirt without escaping, providing more warmth than you would expect. When worn as a vest, it completely covers your body from the torso down to your waist, keeping your entire body warm.

Dressing

Ryo's traditional way of wearing an agra skirt is undoubtedly to pair it with a yohiyami. The achromatic colors and unusual appearance give it a very fashionable feel. If you put it over your head and put your arms out of the through pockets, it can also be used as a very warm vest that covers your waist. This is a very effective way to wear it, and while it may be more convenient for wandering around the hammock, you should be careful not to be mistaken for a forest fairy. If you are petite, you can also wrap yourself up in a "seiza" position to keep your whole body warm.

Material features

The outer fabric, PERTEX QUATUM, is a 20dn x 20dn mini ripstop nylon that is windproof, water-repellent, and quick-drying. The back of the fabric is treated to prevent the padding from coming out. It is light and soft, yet strong enough to be used as an outer layer.

The lining is made of Asahi Kasei nylon fabric, a super lightweight 10dn x 10dn mini ripstop nylon that is windproof, water-repellent, and quick-drying. It is extremely light and soft, yet the back of the fabric is treated to prevent the padding from coming out.

The filling is a luxurious 200g of 700 fill power white duck down, which is about the same amount as a winter down jacket.

Packing Tips

The Agra Skirt Down will help keep the backpack in a beautiful shape if you pack it at the end, filling in any gaps on the outside of the backpack. For this reason, the Agra Skirt Down does not come with a storage bag.

Usage notes

The Ugly Skirt is intended for use when staying at a hammock point, and is designed for walking around the hammock or to go to the toilet. It should not be used on hiking trails, as it may be dangerous to not take a sufficient stride length or get caught on uneven surfaces. The highly breathable lining may cause some padding to come out.
