BIG AGNES 日本別注フライクリーク

August has arrived and the summer mountain season has officially begun!

I'm sure many people are planning exciting mountain trips, such as traversing the Alps, for their long summer holidays.

This season, BIG AGNES has released a tent that is perfect for people like you!

"Fly Creek HV UL EX Solution Die"

The lightweight tent Fly Creek is synonymous with BIG AGNES, and this season it has been revived for the first time in two years as a Japanese model.

There are two sizes, 1P and 2P, and the photo shows 1P.

The changes made specifically for the Japanese model include changing the inner tent from mesh to full screen, making it less likely for condensation on the fly to get into the inner tent, and also improving heat retention as the air doesn't escape too much.

This is a great feature for Japan, where humidity is high and condensation is likely to occur!

The improved heat retention means you can stay warm from the chill of early spring to late autumn.

High thermal insulation means you can switch to a thinner sleeping bag or eliminate an extra layer of insulation, which makes it lighter, so it's a great feature!

It is also a stuff sack that can be used as a compression sack.

First, let me briefly introduce the specs.

I would like to introduce this using a photo of the 1P that I used when camping in a tent on Mt. Hakusan.

First of all, the basic specifications that you should pay attention to are that the height of the 1P unit is 102cm and the 2P unit is 107cm, so even when you sit inside, your head will not touch the floor and you will not feel cramped.

The interior length is 218cm, so even tall people can lie down without touching the tent, and it is spacious enough that they can even place their backpacks at their feet.

Truly an American tent!

To set up, hook the clips on the inner liner onto the poles to allow it to stand upright, then cover it with the fly.

The inner and fly can be connected with a buckle, making it easy to set up, and the fly will not fly away even in strong winds.

The fly has Velcro for connecting to the poles, so you can set it up using just the fly.

The vestibule was large enough that even though we were caught in a heavy rainstorm at night, our shoes didn't get wet.

The zipper is located at the end of the vestibule so it can be fully opened.

The inner door can be made into a mesh, and the foot area also has a mesh panel in part, so even though it is a full screen, ventilation is still ensured.

There are three pockets inside the car: one on each side of the door and one at the top.

There are three loops on the ceiling for hanging lanterns etc.

Although it is a lightweight tent, it does not sacrifice comfort with pockets and loops, which is nice.

One thing that is a bit worrying, and this is true not only for Fly Creek tents but for all Y-pole tents, is that the pole that runs through the middle can sway a lot when there is a strong crosswind.

However, we were actually hit by a storm while in use, but it managed to survive until morning without collapsing, so as long as the pegs don't come loose, it seems there will be no problem with wind resistance.

This lightweight tent with a streamlined silhouette is sure to stand out at any tent site!
