Black Diamond's lightest helmet, the Vapor, has been updated. The 2023 model features a lightweight and highly resilient EPP foam instead of the traditional EPS. The top of the helmet, which is subject to impact, is now made of a combination of polycarbonate and EPS, with the reinforcement material ALUULA sandwiched between them for added strength. This allows for a lightweight helmet weighing just 170g (S/M, measured value) while still meeting the strict UIAA strength standards. The chin strap is now adjustable for a better fit.
